Creating A Vision Board: Is It Really The Right Choice For Me?

Creating A Vision Board: Is It Really The Right Choice For Me?

Have you ever tried making a vision board for yourself or think it’s a huge commitment? Nowadays, (it seems like) every other person is talking about creating a vision board.

You turn on the tv, and you would see some Hollywood A-lister talking about how they won themselves an Oscar or a movie role by creating a vision for it. Then you go to TikTok or Instagram, bombarded with infinite gimmicky manifestation techniques by Gen-Z, including a vision board. And the fascinating one is how you can see neuroscientists talking about the power of vision boards.

I am not exaggerating!

Every other person these days wants you to make a vision board. ASAP. But is it good for you, given your personality, aspirations, and life choices?

That’s the question I intend to answer for you through this piece of writing. So that whenever you invest your time and energy into a vision board, you make an informed choice rather than blindly following the “latest trend” on social media.

But why am I the right person to give you this advice? You might ask.

Well, for starters, I have been in the manifesting space for almost a decade now. I have experimented with different Law of Attraction tools over the years, which has given me a lot of clarity over what works and what’s a fad. Also, I own a company called The Vision Cloud, where we make vision board kits for people to use. So, I am confident that I am the person with enough knowledge to guide you. I hope you find the value and answers you were looking for in this article.

Nature has given us a gift, a unique ability that no other form of life has except the human species. That is the ability to visualize your future — to be able to think greater than your environment.

Through visualization, we take a thought or an idea and materialize it into our physical reality. Visualization is a big part of manifestation, and the Law of Attraction and a vision board can be the perfect tool if you are trying to master your visualizations.

There are so many things each of us wants to achieve in our life, but it’s not the number of goals that matters. It’s the quality of those goals.

To make it big in life, you must have a few goals in your mind, and you must be incredibly passionate about them. Napoleon Hill called this the burning desire.

“There is one quality which one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it.”— Napoleon Hill

Creating a vision board is the right choice for you if you want to have and pursue such ambitious goals. It will help you eliminate the noise and truly focus on a handful of goals that matter to you.

If you are a Law of Attraction follower or believe in manifesting your future, then using a vision board is a must.

Vision board helps you accelerate your Law of Attraction journey in a few powerful ways:

  • First, it helps you get clarity about what you want to manifest.
  • Second, it gives you a chance to actively use the faculty of your imagination and create the perfect future vision for yourself.
  • Then, a vision board helps you visualize your perfect life and goals (we have already discussed this in detail).
  • Also, your goals and vision get repeated whenever you look at your vision board. And a true law of attraction fan would know how important this repetition is for the ultimate manifestation.

I promised to help you make an informed decision about investing in a vision board, and an informed decision can only come through as a result of knowing the good and the bad.

Here I am going to tell you the cases in which a vision board might not be the perfect choice for you.

I treat vision boards as an investment. An investment of your time and energy for your future. I don’t suggest you set up your vision board in just 15 minutes and treat it like another chore for the day. There is no point in such a board because you have not put any emotional effort into it.

Creating a vision board is a sacred process. It means using your imagination to create an impressive vision encompassing all your desires and aspirations.

So, if you can’t commit your time and energy to setting up a vision board, it’s certainly not the right choice for you.

I have seen a lot of people who set up their vision boards and then wait for things to come around. And when those goals don’t get accomplished, they are quick to label vision boards as a new-age gimmick.

If you are also trying to use a vision board as a shortcut to success or to escape the hard work, then it is definitely not the right choice. You must take massive, inspired action towards your goals despite having a vision board. There are no two ways about this.

Self-concept are beliefs you carry about your worthiness in your subconscious mind. People with a positive self-concept believe that luck is on their side and they genuinely deserve everything good in life.

But people with a weak self-concept are always stuck in thoughts of not-being-good-enough.

If you are someone with a compromised self-concept, I wouldn’t recommend you jump straight to a vision board. You first need to work on building your self-confidence and only then a vision board will be able to help you with your goals.

In the end, there is something I would like to say to people who have already set up their vision boards; everything great takes time and so does a vision board. So, don't be impatient.

Meanwhile, just focus on taking inspired action and surrendering everything to the universe. What you want is coming. Have faith!
