What Are Clinical Manifestation Studies on The Law of Attraction?

If you work in the medical field, you might use the term “clinical manifestation” to refer to symptoms of diseases.  However, in this article, we’re talking about the Law of Attraction, and what clinical manifestation studies or scientific studies, in short, have been done to prove that manifestation exists.

Are there any clinical studies done on the Law of Attraction?  And what does science have to say about it?

In this article, we’ll dive a little bit into these studies, as well as merge science and spirituality in explaining how manifestation works.  At the end of this article, we hope to give you a more scientific explanation of how to apply the data in your own manifestation journey.

WHAT ARE CLINICAL MANIFESTATION STUDIES ON THE LAW OF ATTRACTION?

Scientists and researchers, which include experts in the field of psychology, neuroscience, evolutionary biology, and philosophy have long wondered about the scientific backing of the Law of Attraction.  Because of this, a multitude of studies have been done in the field.

Though no clinical study has proven that visualization can indeed turn thoughts into reality, there are a few pieces of research that show impressive correlations.

We discovered two unique studies, one involving positive thinking, and the other involving the healing power of prayer, that shows the effect of thoughts on our physical reality.  We also discovered the work of Dr. Tara Swart Bieber, who wrote an astonishing book on using science to manifest your dreams, and her study on neuroplasticity.

We believe explaining the Law of Attraction in terms of scientific data can help doubters understand that the act of manifestation is real and that anyone can create the life of their dreams.

CLINICAL AND SCIENTIFIC MANIFESTATION STUDIES THAT SUPPORT THE LAW OF ATTRACTION

Here are some of the studies and scientific data that support the mechanism behind manifestation:

  1. THE POWER OF PRAYER

Religions all over the world purport the power of prayer in a multitude of aspects of life.  From emotional to physical healing, bringing in blessings, and every other thing we want to achieve in life.

One study showed the power of prayer and pregnancy.  In one study that was conducted by Cha et.al., they discovered that prayer could improve the outcome of getting pregnant in a group of infertile women.

The study involved 219 infertile women who were receiving in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer treatments in Seoul, South Korea.  They divided the group into two:  one group was to be prayed for by people in the US, Canada, and Australia, and the control group was not.  The participants of the first group also didn’t know that they were to be prayed for distantly.

By the end of the research, Cha and colleagues discovered that the women in the first group experienced twice as high pregnancy rates as the control group.

This study showed the power of prayer when it comes to achieving a positive outcome among infertile women.

The researchers revealed that prayer has the same benefits as meditation, and this may explain why it works in helping people find healing in prayers.

Since you go through a deep state of calm and focus when praying, the benefits are similar to meditating, such as lower blood pressure, lower heart rate, reduced anxiety, a boost in immune response, altered levels of melatonin and serotonin, as well as elevated mood, and even the reduction of pain perception.

  1. THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING

The Law of Attraction is also closely linked to positive thinking or positive psychology.  When you believe you’ll achieve your goals, when you have no doubt you’ll have what you are looking for, that is a form of positive thinking or optimism.

The science of positive thinking has long been studied and positive results have almost always been proven.  It is a fact that positive people lead positive lives, and this is what you want to achieve with the Law of Attraction or simply manifesting your dream life.

Lisa R. Yanek, M.P.H. is a John Hopkins expert and she and her colleagues created a study where they asked people a series of questions to determine if they had a positive mindset.  The survey asked questions about anxiety levels, cheerfulness, energy levels, and satisfaction in life.

Their study revealed that positive people who had a family history of heart attacks were 1/3 less likely to develop cardiovascular issues versus those who had a negative mindset.

Another study, which was published in Yonsei Medical Journal and published in 2007 and conducted by Ji Young Jun and others, revealed that positive thinking is closely associated with general life satisfaction.  When it comes to the Law of Attraction, manifesting something becomes so much easier when you come from a place of abundance, which is another form of satisfaction in life.

Other studies about negative thinking have also shown it weakens the immune system, while having a positive mindset is known to improve a spectrum of conditions that include reduced risk for stroke, and brain tumors, and improve the condition of traumatic brain injury.

  1. THE POWER OF NEUROPLASTICITY

Dr. Tara Swart Bieber is a neuroscientist, M.D., best-selling author, and leadership coach.  She left her career in the medical field to pursue studies on neuroplasticity, which led her to work on her award-winning book, The Source.

Dr. Bieber believes that you can manifest anything in life through neuroplasticity, which is the science of rewiring the brain to learn new information, create new behaviors, and yes, manifest your dreams.

According to Dr. Bieber, merging science and spirituality is her life’s work, and she likens manifestation as basically working towards achieving a goal.

As a medical doctor, she wanted to find answers to what makes manifestation and the Law of Attraction work.  Her scientific approach to understanding the Law led her to discover that neuroplasticity is the key.

Manifesting her goals has been a lifelong practice for her, ever since she was a teenager, but she found it hard to put a term or concept to it.  It was only later on when the Law of Attraction became popular that she realized what she had been doing all her life was something similar.

She even said in an interview that she’d been making vision boards or action boards, as she calls them, for over 15 years.  For her version of vision boards, she creates action boards that have detailed plans on how to achieve her goals.

She also states that vision boards are important because imagery evokes emotions.  And when it comes to the Law of Attraction, your emotions at the moment of setting your intentions are essential for manifesting your goals.

In her workshops and coaching sessions, Dr. Bieber includes making action boards, as well as visualizations and affirmations to help business leaders and executives improve their ability to reach business goals.

Programming your mind to transform negativity into positivity, as well as acting on your goals, are the best ways to manifest your dream life, according to Dr. Tara Swart Bieber.

APPLYING THE CLINICAL MANIFESTATION STUDIES ON THE LAW OF ATTRACTION IN YOUR LIFE

Based on the studies and science involved in manifestation, how then do you apply these in your own Law of Attraction practice?  Here are some ways:

  1. PRAY

Try incorporating prayer into your daily life.  You don’t need to be religious or be associated with a certain religious institution.  Praying simply means talking to a higher power, such as the Universe, being thankful for your blessings, and even asking for what you want.  It’s similar to visualization but it’s more spiritual.

Use the power of prayer to heal yourself or others emotionally or physically, as studies have shown prayer does have a positive outcome in a wide range of physical conditions.

  1. BE MORE POSITIVE

It can be hard to be more positive when you don't have money for rent, when your spouse just left you, or when you just lost your job.  But you can have a sense of positivity through gratitude.  Gratitude can put you in a place of abundance rather than scarcity, so you can see the positive side of every situation.

You may have lost your job but now you have a reason to start that business you’ve always wanted to start.  You may have lost your spouse, but now you can find someone who truly loves you, or you can also enjoy singlehood.  You may not have money for rent, but you will realize the friends and family who are here to help you.

Positivity leads to a more satisfying life.  Try shifting your mindset and see how it can help you manifest the life that you want.

  1. MAKE AN ACTION BOARD

And lastly, make an action board, according to Dr. Tara Swart Bieber.  An action board is similar to a vision board but it comes with an action plan on how you’re going to achieve your goals.

The Vision Cloud’s Vision Board Magazine Kit is a vision board kit that comes with all the supplies you need to make a vision board.  And guess what?  It also comes with a goal-setting worksheet that helps you realize your limiting beliefs, your obstacles, and stumbling blocks that are keeping you from fulfilling your goals.

The worksheet also helps you create a goal-setting plan to achieve your dreams, so you can make an action board with this vision board kit all at once.

Clinical studies on manifestation are few but out of those that have been done, there are impressive results of positive outcomes.  Though it will be a long way to go to prove that manifestation does indeed work with scientific claims, the positive effects it has on people’s lives are undeniable.

Give these methods a try and see for yourself how amazing manifestation works to make your dream life a reality.
