“By thought, the things that you want are brought to you; by action, you receive it.”

-Wallace D. Wattles, author of “The Science of Getting Rich”

A man’s career is often tied to his identity.  And having a successful one can improve his self-esteem, and confidence, and give him purpose.

However, not everyone has the job of their dreams.  A survey by JobSage reveals that only 1 in 10 Americans are working their dream jobs.  More data from the survey reveals that 7 out of 10 Americans in the workforce don’t think they are on track to get the job of their dreams.

This survey shows that dream jobs are merely that for most people:  dreams. So how can you become one out of 10?  How do you get your dream job and how can you have the career that you want?

In this article, we’ll introduce you to goal board ideas for getting your dream job, helping you manifest the career you’ve always wanted.

WHAT ARE DREAM JOB GOAL BOARD IDEAS FOR MEN?

A dream job goal board for men is just like any other vision board but it focuses more on manifesting a dream job.  We emphasize “for men” because studies show there are differences between what men and women value in terms of their dream jobs.

Men, in particular, have been known to want jobs that have powerful roles.  In a study that was published in Harvard Business School, researchers discovered that men have an affinity for powerful jobs, such as managerial positions, executive-level jobs, and high-ranking careers.

Though both men and women have the capacity to attain these jobs, the study reveals that men want these kinds of jobs more, and therefore, typically have dream jobs that give them a sense of power.

When making a dream job goal board, it’s a regular vision board with specific images and words to attract the job, promotion, and career that you want.  It can also include action steps towards achieving this goal, as well as deadlines, and a concrete plan on how to get your dream job.

HOW TO MAKE A DREAM JOB GOAL BOARD

A dream job goal board makes use of the Law of Attraction to manifest your goals.  By using a goal board, you are creating a visual representation of your dreams, and this can help you stay focused, and motivated, and inspire you to take action each time you focus your attention on the images.

Here is how you can make a dream job goal board:

  1. GET CLEAR ON WHAT YOU WANT

Do you have a job right now?  Do you want to change careers or maybe apply for a job promotion?  A survey by Harris Interactive revealed that 45% of Americans in the workforce are satisfied with their jobs. But is “satisfied” enough?  Don’t you want to be passionate and excited about your job?

If you’re applying for your dream job, you have to decide what it is that you really want.  Do you want to be a CEO because you want to build and grow a company?  Do you want to be a sales manager so you can earn the most commissions to be wealthy?

What is it about your dream that you want the most?  Is it power? Money? Or pure desire to succeed?  Once you get clarity about your desires, you can get started on your goal board.

  1. MAKE YOUR GOAL BOARD

You can make a digital vision board, use collage-making software, or make a physical vision board.  These types of boards have different pros and cons, but we highly recommend a physical vision board due to the time and effort it requires to make.

A physical vision board will require collecting pictures, words, and quotes to complete a collage.  The more time you spend creating your goal board, the more attention you give it, and the more passion you will have to create it.

The Vision Cloud’s Original Vision Board Kit is a great product for making physical vision boards because it has all the supplies you need to make a goal board.  It is designed for women, but it does come in shades of blue, and the 100 images included in the kit are gender-neutral, so men can use this kit, too.

We’ve also made an article about this vision board kit, where you can find everything you need to know about what’s inside, how to use the kit, and how you can achieve your goals using the kit.

  1. PRACTICE MANIFESTATION TECHNIQUES

The simplest manifestation technique you can use is visualization.  Take the time each day to meditate on your dream job goals and visualize yourself waking up each day actually having the career you’ve always wanted.

Make it a daily practice to visualize living your dreams.  When you wake up in the morning, look at your vision board and believe all the things you have in the collage are already yours.  Practice it daily, either in the morning or evening or several times a day.

Don’t just desire to have your dream job, but you need to believe you already have it.  You need to feel the emotions of living your dreams as if it’s already happening.  Emotion is key to attracting the life that you want.  So feel good, be happy, and thank the Universe for bringing your dream career into your life.

  1. MAINTAIN A HIGH VIBRATION

Constantly thinking about how much you hate your job is resonating a low vibration.  Dreaming about a career you don’t have is low vibration.  When you focus on what you lack, that is low vibration.

A high vibration is needed to attract what you want.  The Law of Attraction states that everything is energy.  If you want to attract a promotion, you need to emit the vibrational energy of having that promotion.  You need to feel that you have it, and you need to release a vibration that you are happy, satisfied, and grateful for having everything you want.

In order to attract the career of your dreams, you need to match the vibrational energy of having that executive-level job.  So expect and assume that you already have that job, and you’re merely waiting for that fateful phone call telling you your first day starts on Monday.

  1. TAKE ACTION

And lastly, a job promotion, getting that dream job, and building a career will not happen if you just sit at home doing nothing.

A dream job goal board idea for men will only work if you do.  You won’t get that dream job if you don’t apply and go to that interview.  A job promotion won’t happen if you don’t work hard at your job.  And a career will not occur if you don’t get started.

A goal board is meant to help you be inspired, motivated, and focused on your goals.  It is not a magic genie that will give you what you want without you getting up and doing the work.

Study the ways you can achieve your goals, create an action plan, and start taking action.

WHAT SHOULD YOU PUT ON YOUR GOAL BOARD?

If you’ve never made a vision board for men before, we understand it can be difficult to know what images, quotes, and objects to put on your board.  Here are some tips on what you can mount on your goal board:

  1. INSPIRATIONAL QUOTES

At the beginning of this article, we wrote a popular quote by Wallace D. Wattles about taking action to get what you want.  You can put similar quotes on your board to help inspire and motivate you to go after your goals.

Short, powerful, and popular career and success quotes are perfect but you can also use quotes about the Law of Attraction and manifestation.

  1. PICTURES OF INSPIRATIONAL MEN

You can also collect pictures of inspirational men and mount them on your board.  If you want to be a CEO, maybe a picture of Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos would suffice, or if you want to be a famous boxer, a picture of Muhammad Ali or Floyd Mayweather, Jr. would be perfect for your collage.

Use images of these men in their proudest moments, so you can emulate the vibrational energies of their successes.

  1. SYMBOLIC OBJECTS

You can also mount small objects on your goal board featuring symbols of your dream job or career.  For example, if you want to earn a specific amount of money, write a cheque for your monthly salary.  The Vision Cloud’s vision board kits include 10 pieces of play cheques from the Bank of the Universe you can use for this specific purpose.

You can also put the logo of the company you’d like to work for, products from that company, or the phone number of their HR department so you recognize it when it appears on your phone once you get that call.

There is no limit to what you can put on a goal board for men.  As long as the images, words, quotes, and objects symbolize your dreams, then you can mount whatever it is that represents the career you want to have.

A job is more than just something you do to put food on the table.  If you want to be happy, satisfied, and excited to go to work each day, it should be a calling that you’re passionate about.

When you have your dream job or career, you are one step closer to living the life of your dreams.  Create these goal board ideas for men and start living the life you were meant to live.
